Zwartbles, which is a very nice name, was wonderful to spin. It has a 4-5 inch staple. While it was mostly soft, there is a characteristic to it that is a little bit wirey. I got it in the sampler pack.
When I was spinning, it needed less twist than average because it didn’t need it. It was pretty easy to spin long draw, didn’t need predrafting at all. It ended up very squishy. You don’t want to go too thin with it because it ends up more like thread.
If trying to spin thinner, do shorter pulls on the draw.
I really enjoyed spinning this fiber and I definitely plan to get more. The final yarn poofed up and filled itself in beautifully. It is a deep black color and soft.
