This Corriedale came in the sampler pack and before I wrote this up, I bought some from my local yarn shop which is also a sheep farm. I love it!
The staple is 3.5 to 6 inches, generally on the longer side. It has tons of tiny crimp to it but doesn’t catch quite as much. It does spin up very well with long draw though, it can almost be spun without the use of the supporting hand.
The color on the sampler pack was a beautiful mix, and I got some brown from my local yarn shop. I enjoyed all the colors I’ve seen.
I held all the fiber tension in the back of my fiber hand, none in the front because the fiber is so long. Needed higher take up and less twist. A bulky spin with Corriedale would be super squishy and soft and sounds like a great idea.
Final yarns poofed up wonderfully. Both a 2 ply and a 3 ply are very round.
